Ontario Envirothon is a hands-on environmental education program for high school students. Students participate in Envirothon competitions as teams made up of five members and study the areas of forestry, wildlife, aquatics, soils and a current issue that changes annually.

Ontario Envirothon is open to students enrolled in grades 9 to 12 in public,
private and home schools, or community organizations such as 4-H clubs.
The per team registration fee for Ontario Envirothon is $113 (includes HST)before January 31st, 2012 and $135 (includes HST) after January 31st, 2012.
The only cost to attend the provincial competition is transportation to the event.
To have plenty of time to prepare for the competition, and to avoid missing
out on activities, participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
The annual registration fee includes a registration information and OFA regional support systems.
A region is the closest area to a competitor that holds an Envirothon competition.
Forestry, Aquatics, Soils, Wildlife are studied on an annual basis. The current
issue is decided upon by the North American Canon Envirothon committee
and changes every year.
The regional competitions typically take place in April, please check with your Regional Coordinator as to exact dates. The provincial competition is held in May of each year, the dates and location being determined by the steering committee that year.
